Today I wanted to share a layout I made for the Life.Paper.Scrapbook. March Sketch. I changed the sketch up a little as you can see below:
This photo was taken last year when I went to Singapore Zoo and I got to feed a white rhino – it was the BEST thing I have ever done, I swear. They are the most gentle, beautiful creatures. My dad was put in charge of getting a photo and this was what he captured, my arm!!!! Still I wanted to scrap it because I just adored feeding them and it was a highlight of the trip for me.
As you can see I used the Amy Tangerine Plus One collection for this layout. I have a made a process video which I have shared on the LPS blog or you can see it here on YouTube. It is only my second process video so if you do watch it please don’t be too harsh, I will get there with practice
Don’t forget to head over to the LPS blog to play along with the March Sketch Challenge, there is an awesome prize from The Scrapbook Circle up for grabs this month.
Hope you all had a great weekend,
I am so excited to be taking part in #30 Lists again. I was lucky enough to win a place from Kristin at My Life As A Teacup. I have really enjoyed doing them in the past because listing is a great way to work on journalling (which I am bad at) and you can always use the prompts as starts for pages or PL spreads further down the track. Also the beauty of the prompts is that you can do them anywhere – during your morning coffee, waiting for the bus, before bed and it only takes 5 mins out of your day.
This year I am using a little Basicgrey Capture Book that I got a while back on sale – yay!
I took a bit of time out of my afternoon to have some creative me time and decorated the cover with some tags from Chic Tags and a few other goodies from my stash.
During the CHA reveals I was very lucky to win a prize pack from Bo Bunny of their new collection Modern Miss. It is a fantastic girly collection with bold colours and a retro twist.
To be honest in the past I have found lines by Bo Bunny to be too “themey” for my liking but the last CHA release has some really great papers and lots of fun embellishments so I was very excited to receive this and have a play.
These photos were taken when I was getting Victory Rolls in my hair for a 50′s themed event I was going to, I have had them in my photo pile for so long because nothing seemed to really match but this line was perfect!
I love the little view finder and film pieces that come with the chipboard and ephemera packs and the chipboard lipstick was pretty cool too. I will definitely use lots more of this collection but will probably mix it up with some other items in my stash.
Hope your having a great week,
So I have done my second PL spread for the year – yeah I know, I know. BUT I have, out of sheer guilt of not doing anything, stuck all the page protectors in the album and filled pockets for each week for the next few months. In my mind this is a good idea because I just need to print out the pictures at the end of the week, stick them in and write – which I guess is essentially PL in it’s basic form but I just cant seem to make a go of it. Anyway my second spread for the year is based on just one day – 06 Feb.
It was a day I spent with my Dad going to see a James Bond exhibition at Melbourne Museum, we have watched the films together since I was little and every time a new one is released we go together so we thought this would be something fun to do. We also met up for lunch with my Mum at a really nice restaurant afterwards.
The day isn’t actually in order because I needed a whole page for the museum visit. As you can see I have used the Midnight Core Kit and just added bits and pieces of my stash including a Maggie Holmes gold frame overlay as well as a cut file from Two Peas In A Bucket. The 007 is also a cut file that I made by tracing the logo and welding it together – pretty happy with how that turned out
(note my selfie with my handsome boyfriend LOL)
So hopefully I get a bit more done on PL this week, I have printed out all the photos I want to use so far for the year but we will see how I go.
Have a great day!
Just a really quick post today, I have made this cute little gift bag to give some sweet treats to a friend in. I used the Fancy Pants What a Wonderful Day Collection I love the bright, happy colours and the ephemera is so fun. I made the little bag on my cameo using THIS cut file by Lori Whitlock. The little phrase card on the front is from the brag book, which I totally forgot I had and now I need to use it more for Project Life.
That’s it from me today, thanks for stopping by,
As you can see there is a bit of a love theme and I decided to interpret it to celebrate something I really love… CAKE!!!
I decided to play with the cameo again and I am still in love! I bought the heart and frame cut file from Two Peas In a Bucket, I changed them a little to fit my page then I went to work with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold Lame and some gold embossing powder. I also had a play with some watercolours for my background. To finish I added some Maggie Holmes Flea Market ephemera and some glitter Dear Lizzy Thickers.

Super quick post today, just wanted to share my latest layout for Polly Scrap Kits using the January Kit.
I loved the soft colours in the kit and the Heidi Swapp ephemera pack – seriously they are one of the best value die cut packs out there with over 92 pieces, can’t wait to see the new ones up close. This one was all about the title for me, I knew what I wanted but I had to think up a way to do it without running out of letters.
Luckily the kit had two alphas this month so I could get a bit creative. I opted for a kind of subway art style title in the end.
So that’s it from me today, have a beautiful day,
